About Koharu Kusumi

Koharu Kusumi is a Japanese actress, model, singer and former idol from Niigata Prefecture, currently affiliated with the agency Oscar Promotion. Joining Morning Musume in 2005 at just 12 years old, she was famously dubbed the "Miracle Girl" by producer Tsunku and stood out as the sole member of the group's legendary seventh generation.

Her career achieved stardom when she was cast as Kirari Tsukishima, the main character in the anime Kirarin Revolution. Performing in character under the Hello! Project, she became the youngest Hello! Project soloist to debut following the release of "Koi☆Kana". She released the legendary anthem Balalaika (バラライカ), which became a massive chart-topping success and one of the most iconic anime opening tracks of the 2000s.

During her peak idol years, her success with Kirarin Revolution also led to the creation of popular crossover music units. She regularly recorded and toured alongside her fellow cast and Hello! Project mates in units like MilkyWay alongside Sayaka Kitahara and You Kikkawa. After graduating from Morning Musume in 2009, she transitioned into a career as an runway model for CanCam before going to television drama actress
